Many people think that if you want to be more fit, you have to commit to at least an hour at the gym several times per week. 

But it's not all-or-nothing!

Instead of looking at your whole day as a success or failure, consider every decision you make a chance to do something healthy.

Take a hike (or a bike)

Skip traffic jams and the annoying process of finding a good spot to park by walking or biking to your next destination.  Cheap, efficient, good for the environment, and good for your body. WIN.

Be active with friends and family

Why not turn your social time into fit & social time? You don't need to go to the gym for it to count as exercise. Check out a VR arcade together and have fun shooting baddies while working up a sweat. Or how about ping pong or badminton? Just playing with your kid will get you beneficial results!

Action bursts!

30- or 60-minute workout is ideal, but there's nothing wrong with breaking up the exercise into short bursts throughout your day. If you do 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at lunch, and 10 minutes at night, and you can do that five days a week, you're already getting your 150 recommended minutes of weekly moderate exercise! 

Toilet breaks

Drink more water and take more walks to the bathroom. Detox and increase your daily step count! Plus, if there's an empty bathroom available, you could even do pushups against the sink.

Stand more

You burn more calories when standing, so get on your feet as much as you can! Stand instead of sit, and pace around whenever you get a chance.
